Abysse is the perfect jacket to get you through spring and summer in style. Its wide, straight cut gives it a modern, casual look, while offering optimum comfort for light mid-season layering.
With its streamlined cut-outs, two front patch pockets and capuchin tabs structuring the lower sleeves, Abysse plays on details for a look that's both minimalist and sophisticated.
Designed to suit all tastes, it can be worn in denim for a timeless look, or in velvet, gabardine or jacquard for a variety of styles and textures. A versatile, easy-to-combine model that's sure to become a spring and summer wardrobe essential.
A pattern in PDF or paper format
To get you started, the Abysse jacket pattern is available at pdf OR in paper format.
Seam allowances are included (1 cm).
Then, if you opt for the pdf format, after your purchase you will be able to download :
- a pdf file (with size layers) consisting of 30 A4 (or US letter) pages to assemble,
- 2-page pdf file (A0) if you want to print it at a copy shop,
- printing & assembly tips (in English and in French),
- and also, a detailed instruction guide for sewing the jacket.
Finally, if you opt for the paper format, you will receive a printed folder with :
- A detailed instruction booklet for sewing the jacket,
- The pattern board (no overlapping pieces) in real size.
What you need for the Abysse jacket
To make this jacket, you will need:
- Fabric (55'' wide):
- Sizes 34-46: 2 metres
- Sizes 48-52: 2.30 metres
- For this model, I recommend fabrics adapted to jackets: denim, gabardine, velvet or jacquard.
- 90 cm fusible interfacing
- 13 buttons 1.5 to 1.7 cm in diameter
