The Cosmique jacket will follow you all spring long, but also in the chilly summer nights. It can also be worn as an overshirt! It combines comfort and style, while being easy to wear and match with your existing wardrobe.
Finally, this pattern will be an opportunity to see or review a number of technical points. You will learn for example how to sew topstitching, sleeve plackets or a collar.
A pattern in PDF or paper format
To start, the Cosmic jacket pattern is available in pdf OR in paper format. Sewing margins are included (1 cm).

The material needed for the Cosmic jacket
To make this jacket, you will need:
- Fabric (55'' wide):
- Sizes 34-38 : 1.80 meter (2y)
- Sizes 40-48: 2.20 meters (2 ½y)
- Sizes 48-56: 2.70 meters (3y)
- For this model, I recommend fabrics adapted to jackets: denim, gabardine, velvet or jacquard.
- lining (for pockets) :
- Sizes 34-48 : 25 cm (10")
- Sizes 48-56 : 30 cm (12")
- iron-on interfacing :
- Sizes 34-48 : 70 cm (28")
- Sizes 48-56 : 80 cm (32")
- buttons of 1.5 to 1.7 cm (⅝") in diameter:
- 9 for sizes 34-48
- 10 for sizes 48-56
The sizes of the Cosmic jacket
First of all, the Cosmic jacket pattern goes from size 34 to size 56 (sizes 48-56 are only available in PDF format).
💡 This pattern comes in two grading systems: one for sizes 34-48 and a second for sizes 48-56. So there is a "small" 48 and a large "48"; if this is your size take a good look at the following charts to buy the right pattern.
