The Raphaëlla dress pattern

(For PDF format: after your purchase, you'll receive the download link directly in your email inbox)

The instructions are in English and French.

A strap dress that will be your go-to all summer long!

The Raphaëlla dress is fitted at the bust, and for the bottom, the circle skirt comes in two lengths.

Its particularity? It is its version with straps decorated with blind tucks! But a classic version (without pleats) is also possible.

A pattern in PDF or PAPER format

First of all, the pattern is available in pdf OR in paper format. Sewing margins are included (1 cm).

Then, if you opt for the pdf format, after your purchase you will be able to download :

  • 1 PDF file with 32 A4 pages (or US letter size) to assemble,
  • 1 PDF file with 3 A0 pages,
  • printing tips (in English and in French),
  • a detailed instruction guide.

Lastly, if you opt for the paper format, you'll receive a printed pouch with:

  • An instruction booklet detailed,
  • The full-size pattern board (no overlapping pieces).

What you'll need to sew the Raphaëlla dress

To make this dress, you'll need:

    • Fabric, 140 cm wide:
      • Short version: 2 meters (2¼y)
      • Long version: 2.80 meters (3 1/8y)
      • Recommended fabrics: viscose twill, viscose poplin, viscose jacquard, cotton poplin, cotton gauze, chambray, eyelet lace, linen.
    • Of fusible interfacing:
      • Short version: 1 meter (1 1/8y)
      • Long version: 1,30 meter (1 ½y)
    • Buttons (diameter: 2 cm (¾") max):
      • Short version: 8
      • Long version: 10

Finally, for both my versions, I used viscose twill. It's a fluid fabric, but thicker than classic viscose poplin, so there's no need to line the dress.

    Sizes for the Raphaëlla dress

First of all, the pattern the Raphaëlla dress ranges from size 34 to size 48. This dress is worn fitted at the bust.

Also, to help you pick your size, you'll find the finished garment measurements below:

This pattern was made for a stature of 1m68 (I'm 1m62).

Skirt length from waist: short version: 48 cm (18⅞”) / long version: 77 cm (30¼”).

Finally, to help you adapt this dress to your morphology, you can graduate between several sizes or adjust the bust height. For these two blog posts, the patterns feature other dresses, but the methodology is the same for adapting the Raphaëlle dress pattern .

        Parfait !
