Augustin waistcoat pattern
The instructions are in English and French.
Augustin is the quilted vest you can easily slip under your coat.
This vest features a straight cut, a stand-up collar, and zips up the front. The zipper is designed with an underlap to prevent your garment from snagging when you open or close the vest.
Additionally, for extra comfort and a nicer finish, Augustin is fully lined.
Finally, the pattern is available in two versions (with or without quilting lines).

What you need for the Augustin waiscoat
To make this vest, you'll need:
- Fabric:
- Sizes 34-46: 1.4 meters (140 cm wide) / 1⅝y (55” wide)
- Sizes 48-52: 1.5 meters (150 cm wide) / 1¾y (60” wide)
- Recommended fabrics: velvet, gabardine, denim, jacquard, wool fabric.
- In the photos, I used needlecord velvet and wool fabrics.
- Fleece : 1 m (width: 150 cm) /1⅛y (60” wide) or 1.7 m (width: 90 cm) / 1⅞y (36” wide). Maximum thickness: 1.5 cm. Note: the thicker the batting, the more pronounced the quilting.
- Of the lining:
- Sizes 34-46: 70 cm (140 cm wide) / 28” (55” wide)
- Sizes 48-52: 80 cm (150 cm wide) / 32” (60” wide)
- Recommended fabrics: lining fabric, viscose poplin, viscose twill, cotton poplin.
- 60 cm(24") of fusible interfacing.
- 1 separating zipper:
- Sizes 34-38: 45 cm(~18”)
- Sizes 40-46: 50 cm(~20”)
- Sizes 48-52: 55 cm(~22”)
