The Chantilly vest pattern
The instructions are in English and French.
Chantilly is the quintessential cuddly vest, the one you snuggle up in all winter long.
With or without sleeves, it features a wrap-funnel neck for a touch of elegance and comfort.
Fully lined and finished with bias binding, it features two patch pockets on the front, perfect for keeping hands warm or slipping in a few treasures.
Its secret touch? It closes with snap buttons, for a modern, practical look.
With just 3 or 4 pieces to assemble, it's a quick, fun and accessible project, ideal for getting started sewing a lined garment.
Have fun using it in a variety of fabrics: woollen, sherpa, jacquard or quilted... it adapts beautifully to every texture and mood!
A pattern in PDF or paper format
To start with, the Chantilly pattern is available in pdf OR in paper format. Sewing margins are included (1 cm).
Then, if you opt for the pdf format, after your purchase you will be able to download :
- a pdf file (with size layers) consisting of 24 A4 (or US letter) pages to assemble,
- a 2-page pdf file ( A0 format ) (with size layers ),
- printing & assembly tips (in English and in French),
- as well as an instruction manual.
Finally, if you choose the paper format you will receive a printed folder with :
- A detailed instruction booklet,
- as well as the full-size pattern board.

To make this model, you will need :
- Fabric (55'' wide):
- Sleeveless (34-46): 80 cm (32”)
- Sleeveless (48-52): 1.40 m (1⅝y)
- With sleeves (34-46): 1.50 m (1¾y)
- With sleeves (48-52): 2.10 m (2⅜y)
👉 Velvet, wool, sherpa, denim, cotton gabardine, canvas, jacquard or quilted fabric.
- 140 cm wide lining fabric:
- Sleeveless (34-46): 80 cm (32”)
- Sleeveless (48-52): 1.40 m (1⅝y)
- With sleeves (34-46): 1.50 m (1¾y)
- With sleeves (48-52): 2.10 m (2⅜y)
👉 Cotton poplin, acetate, viscose twill, sherpa, canvas or quilted fabric.
- [Optional] 90 cm (35”) wide fusible fleece (5-6 mm (⅕’’) thick - type H640):
- Sleeveless: 1.60 m (1¾y)
- With sleeves: 3 m (3⅜y)
- 5 snap fasteners (diameter: 1.5 cm (⅝”))
- 20 mm (~¾”) wide bias (40 mm (~1⅝”) fully unfolded) :
- Sleeveless: max. 5 metres (5½y)
- With handles: max. 4.50 metres (5y)
